Divorce Coach - Helping you achieve success, every step of the way!

The first place you may go to, to talk about your situation is to your friends and family, this is the most natural course of action, they know you well and they will want to support and take care of you.  They will want to show you that they love and support you, but there is a difficulty with asking for their advice and support during this time of change.

Your friends or family members, may have feelings towards your soon-to-be ex, which they have harboured for years but never discussed with you, however with this new situation, they may feel that it is now appropriate to share their concerns or feelings with you, which may  be the match that lights the already dry firewood.

Bemoaning your downfall with friends will not assist you in getting the fair outcome that you want, they can in fact even make the situation worse, especially, if they are angry about their own situation, either a relationship that is not fulfilling, a separation or divorce that they are still grieving over, or are in the midst of.

Your separation or divorce, may even trigger thoughts in your friends about the state of their relationship and this may become linked to how they talk to you about your situation and how they give you support.

If the person you are talking too, has been through a messy divorce which has left them feeling dissatisfied or upset it is very hard for them to be truely objective in the way they help you to deal with your situation.

For truly objective support and help.
